The special purpose print brochures were designed to highlight the region’s assets and demonstrate a clear, research-based, business case to help attract business owners, executives, and site selectors across four industries strategically targeted for continued maturation across the five-county, 10-town, and one-city region.
The brochures highlight many powerful advantages the New River Valley offers businesses that choose to move into the region and targeting specific advantages for four unique sub-sector industries: advanced manufacturing, food processing and agribusiness, information technology, and unmanned systems. The brochures can be seen here.
“We’re so pleased that our work for Onward NRV is continuing to pay dividends for their wonderful organization,” Jennifer Eddy, Chief Strategist atEddy Alexander said. “They have such an important mission and we are thrilled that the IEDC saw fit to highlight this project for recognition on their global stage.”
In 2017, based on their demonstrated expertise in marketing strategy, economic development, and identity management, Eddy Alexander was hired to develop a new research backed brand for the New River Valley and its economic development consortium the New River Valley Economic Development Alliance.
The Eddy Alexander team spent weeks researching the region’s assets and differentiators and then used their finding to develop two distinct brands; one for the region itself, and one for the fundraising organization charged with attracting new business investment.
Both brand packages included detailed visual and verbal identity guidelines and customizable templates that allowed for Onward NRV team to develop their award-winning targeted industry brochures and many additional creative assets in house as they made the identities their own.
“This model allows our clients to reap significant, measurable value from their partnership with Eddy Alexander, while providing significant agility by conserving precious resources and simultaneously improving the quality of all of their strategic output for many years to come.” Eddy said. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be in the business of setting clients up for success, and when they keep coming back for more we know we are doing our job well.”
