The Virginia Talent and Opportunity Partnership Recognizes Top 100 High Quality Internships at Virginia Businesses in celebration of Virginia Internship Day.
July 31, 2023 (ROANOKE, Va.) – Eddy Alexander, a full-service marketing and growth strategy firm headquartered in Roanoke, has been named a 2023 Top Virginia Employer for Interns. This recognition from The Virginia Talent and Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP) recognizes employers statewide who provide high-quality and meaningful internships and learning opportunities to students.
Eddy Alexander’s internship program “The Quarry” is a one-of-a-kind career launch program designed to help translate academic skill building into on-the-job learning experiences and portfolio development. During the ten-week summer program, competitively placed interns form a cross-disciplinary team and work together to gain a deeper understanding of what goes into marketing, public relations, advertising, and multimedia production in a fast-paced professional setting. Eddy Alexander interns benefit from hands-on mentorship and are encouraged to immerse themselves fully in their specialized area of interest – researching industry trends, meeting clients and their support teams, and working through proven frameworks and methodologies to build new programs, implement strategies, and measure results under the watchful eye of more experienced professional counterparts.
“Virginia has long been celebrated as a great state in which to do business and I believe our incredible talent pipeline is one of many reasons why,” Eddy Alexander President Jennifer Eddy said. “Talent development has always been important to us as a company, but the development of the Quarry internship program was organic growing out of the team’s desire to help give those that came after them a head start on developing the career and life skills that have helped make our team successful.

These folks are the future of our industry and it’s exciting to get to meet them so early in their professional journeys. This award takes things to the next level and really is the cherry on top of an already fantastic year for the program.”
