Scott Balyo has over 20 years of communications and marketing experience promoting amazing destinations and helping organizations tell their stories.

He is currently the Executive Director of Capital Region USA, the official destination marketing partner of Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, working together to promote the region to overseas leisure travelers. 

Scott’s broad range of experience includes leadership positions in international tourism marketing, state and local economic development, higher education, and healthcare.

He has an MA in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University and is a graduate of the U.S Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management (IOM)
